Thank you for registering your child!

Our instructors are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and passion for the sport while helping every camper build confidence, improve their skills, and have a great time both on and off the bike!

ADDRESS: Gopher Dunes - 4385 Norfolk County Hwy 59, Courtland, ON N0J 1E0

CAMP HOURS: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

DROP OFF: 9:00 AM

PICK UP: 5:00 PM

For the safety and accountability of all campers, a parent or legal guardian is required to check their rider in each morning and sign them out at the end of each day - even if your family is staying on-site for the week.

This daily sign-in/sign-out procedure allows our staff to accurately track every camper throughout the day, ensure all riders remain with their assigned group, and confirm that each child has been picked up by an authorized adult before leaving camp.

This process is mandatory for all campers and is an important part of maintaining a safe, organized, and enjoyable camp experience for everyone.

DAILY CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

staying the week?

Make the most of camp week by staying right here at Gopher Dunes! Families are welcome to camp on-site and enjoy everything the facility has to offer while your rider is at camp.

Camp families receive 10% off camping fees for the duration of the camp, and you're welcome to arrive as early as Monday to get settled before camp begins.

Parents or guardians staying on-site are required to purchase a weekly admission pass to remain on the property and access the facility's amenities. Admission can be purchased on the first morning of camp.

Each morning, after signing your camper in, you'll receive a daily wristband that must be worn while you're on the property. This helps our staff easily identify registered guests and ensures everyone on-site has checked in properly.

meals & snacks

Keeping campers fueled and hydrated is an important part of a great week at camp. A light morning snack will be provided each day and will vary throughout the week. Juice and water will be available during snack time. Lunch is also included with every camp registration and is freshly prepared each day by our staff. Lunch options will vary throughout the week to provide campers with a variety of meals.

Water will be available all day, and campers will have regular hydration breaks between riding sessions and activities. Please send your child with a reusable water bottle so they can refill it throughout the day and stay hydrated while reducing the use of disposable cups.

If your child has any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical dietary requirements, please notify us before camp begins so we can make the appropriate accommodations.

END OF CAMP ACTIVITIES

In addition to plenty of riding, campers will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities throughout the week, including:

  • Supervised swimming at the beach

  • Bicycle riding

  • Fishing

  • Crafts and creative activities

  • Team games

  • Sports and outdoor activities

These activities are a great way for campers to relax, make new friends, build teamwork skills and enjoy everything Gopher Dunes has to offer.

If there are any activities you would prefer your child not participate in, please let us know before the start of camp.

SWIMMING & LIVE VEST REQUIREMENTs

Your child's safety is our top priority at Gopher Dunes. While all swimming activities are supervised by our camp staff and instructors, it is mandatory for all campers under the age of 18 to wear a properly fitted life vest while swimming in the pond.

Please ensure your child arrives at camp with a life vest that is appropriate for their age, height, and weight.

If they do not arrive with a life vest they will not be able to participate in the swimming portion.

bike preparation

Before camp begins, please take some time to thoroughly inspect your rider's motorcycle and ensure it is in good working condition. We strongly recommend completing any routine maintenance before camp, including checking tires, chain and sprockets, brakes, air filter, fluids, and overall bike condition.

Taking care of basic maintenance ahead of time helps ensure the bike runs smoothly throughout the week and allows campers to spend more time riding and less time dealing with repairs or maintenance during camp.

If your rider needs fuel, oil, lubricants, tubes, spark plugs, or other basic riding supplies during the week, many of these items are available for purchase at the Pro Shop.

While we do not have a mechanic on-site during camp, our instructors are often able to assist with basic maintenance items such as air filter changes, spark plug replacements, and other minor repairs to help keep riders on the track.

Any purchases made throughout the week must be paid for before the final day of camp.

Our goal is to provide every camper with a safe, positive, and fun environment where they can learn, improve their riding, and make lasting memories. All campers are expected to follow these rules throughout the week. Failure to follow camp rules may result in removal from riding activities or dismissal from camp without a refund.

FACILITY RULES & REGULATIONS

We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience at Gopher Dunes. To help ensure all guests have a great visit, please take a few moments to review our Facility Rules & Regulations before you arrive

Camp specific Rules

  • Listen to your instructors at all times: Their directions are for your safety and the safety of everyone around you.

  • Stay with your assigned camp group: Campers are not permitted to leave their group or ride elsewhere unless instructed by a coach.

  • No riding without instructor permission: Riding is only permitted during scheduled camp activities and under staff supervision.

  • Wear all required riding gear: Campers will not be permitted to ride without the required safety equipment.

  • Ride within your ability level: Camp is about learning and improving - not showing off. Reckless riding, excessive speed, wheelies, burnouts, or dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Treat others with respect: Bullying, inappropriate language, teasing, or disrespect toward campers, staff, volunteers, or facility guests will not be accepted.

  • Respect all equipment and facilities:Take care of your motorcycle, riding gear, camp equipment, and Gopher Dunes property.

  • Stay hydrated and take breaks when needed: If you aren't feeling well, let an instructor know immediately.

  • Keep the facility clean: Dispose of garbage properly and help keep the facility tidy.

  • No cell phones during instruction: Phones should remain put away during coaching sessions and riding activities unless permission is given by an instructor.

  • Have fun and encourage others: Camp is about learning, building confidence, and making new friends. Cheer each other on and enjoy the experience!

  • Swimming at the Pond: During designated swimming times, all campers are required to wear a properly fitted life jacket while in or around the water. This rule applies to every camper, regardless of age or swimming ability, and there are no exceptions.

  • For Parents & Guardians Staying On Site: Once camp begins each day, we ask that you allow our instructors to take the lead. Please avoid following your child's group, offering coaching, or stepping into camp activities. Giving campers the opportunity to learn independently helps build confidence, encourages friendships, and allows them to develop a relationship with their instructors. Having multiple people providing direction can create confusion and take away from the camp experience. We encourage you to relax, enjoy some time to yourself, explore the facility, or watch from a respectful distance while our staff does what they do best.
