So what's going on now??  Here's the scoop....

Gopher Dunes main tracks and trails are open daily this week for leisure riding from Tuesday through Sunday.  We always open at 11am and midweek we stay open till 8:30pm; on weekends we close at 6pm.  Now the new Gopher Dunes West Track (new big track & new pw track) will be open for practice on Thursday & Friday only from 4pm to 8:30pm.  Anyone coming out on those days are welcome to ride at the main facility and can switch over after 4pm to the West Track - 2 locations, same day, one price = $20 per rider. 

What's this 'new' track like?  Intermediate terrain, dark soil, intermediate level.....check it out and see for yourself! 

TVR will be hosting the first-ever race on this newly built West Track on Sunday, June 17.  Entrance will be from Hwy. 59, camping is allowed Saturday night at $15 per vehicle and campers will be able to move over to the new area after 5pm.

 

We still welcome all riders out this Saturday and Sunday as the main track and trails will be open for leisure riding from 11am to 6pm. 

Now moving along to our next BIG Event:

Calling all ATV & UTV Enthusiasts to our 2nd. annual ATV & UTV Festival on Sunday, June 24, 2012

 

The count-down is on for our 2nd. ever ATV & UTV Festival which is now less than 2 weeks away!  There continues to be an ongoing demand to host an event just for our 4x4 quad riders plus the many inquiries we get time after time from the side-by-side enthusiasts who are anxious to come out and ride at the Dunes.   We will be hosting our 2nd. event of this kind and we are welcoming all these ATV & UTV riders/drivers and their enthusiasts to come out and join in the fun and activities planned for Sunday, June 24th.   On a regular basis, we do not allow UTV's to ride our trails;  so this is it guys  ---  this is your only chance in 2012 to participant in an event designed just for you!  On this day the track and trails will be closed to all dirt bikes - we only invite all sport quads, 4x4 utility quads, and the assortment of side-by-side utility vehicles to participate in the many activities planned throughout the day!

Gate admission:  $10 per adult

                                 $5 to age 13

                                 FREE to age 4

 

Gates open at 8am and entrance is at 439 - 2nd. Con. STR  (just around the corner of the main Gopher Dunes entrance).  Camping is allowed Saturday night at $15 per vehicle using the Hwy 59 entrance.

IMPORTANT:  Riders are responsible to be at their event staging area at start of their event.  No refunds for missed events!!   Announcements will be taking place.  Events will be run in above order.  Motocross & Obstacross schedules to be announced day of Event.

Complimentary on-going Trail Riding for registered participants ONLY! 

Passengers are allowed to ride on trails with UTV's and 2-up ATV's only!

 

Passenger Fee:  $5.00 

** they must register, sign waiver, get wrist-banded & wear helmet**

 

NOTE:  Event Modifications may take place on Event Day, depending on demand. 

 

RULES & RESTRICTIONS:

 

1  -  all riders & passengers must sign waiver when registering

2  -  each participant must complete entry form with their choice of events & pay entry fees

3  -  each entrant will be tagged & wrist-banded at sign-in

4  -  all entrants & passengers MUST wear helmet at all times!

5  -  it is MANDATORY for UTV participants to wear seat-belt at all times, passengers included!

6  -  ABSOLUTELY no alcohol consumption by participants or spectators

7  -  all participants must maintain a safe speed of max. 10mph when riding to and from events

8  -  no tearing up any part of grass parking area

9  -  participants are responsible to be at their event staging area at start of their event

10 - No refunds after registration or for missed events

11 - ATV's & UTV's must enter trails at ONE entry point & follow directional marked trails

12 - Safe speeds must be maintained in trails at all times!

13 - any riders caught breaking rules, entering restricted areas or acting unruly will be asked to load up & leave

14 - any riders, passengers and/or spectators that are on this property will assume all risks and responsibilities of damages or injuries arising therefrom. 

 

By obeying these rules and using some common-sense and respect for others, will make it a safe and enjoyable day for all.  The success of this event will determine the future of more similar events.
