OFF-ROAD – MOTOCROSS SHOOTOUT!

 

All WEC classes represented

 

Round one of the Wiesner Insurance Ontario Cross Country Championships Fall Series is fast approaching and the Gopher Dunes facility is preparing for a race like none other. This is being billed as a shootout between the top racers in Ontario Off-Road and the local Pro Motocross contingent. With the full 1.7 kilometre National MX course used mixed with 10+ kms of fast woods trails along with manufactured obstacles, it is hard to say which group will really have the advantage. What we can say is that the winners at this event will definitely be the fastest of the fast. As such, we will be awarding a free entry to the Ontario Round of the Canadian Enduro Championship ($100 value) to the winner of each adult class. The Ontario CEC will take place at Motopark in Chatsworth, Ontario September 17th and 18th.

 

Motocross racers need not be intimidated by the course design. Due to the layout of this specific facility, no “special off-road” equipment like hand guards, skid plates, etc will be needed. Your bike is good to go as prepared for any local MX race.

 

For those off-road racers unfamiliar with this great facility, sand is the name of the game here. There will be none of the old school, single file first and second gear trails here and there’s lots of passing opportunities.

 

Expect a professional facility with all amenities. Camping is allowed Friday night at a cost of $20. parking the day of the event is $5 per car. Food will be on site for those burning calories and the Pro Shop will be open for those who forgot that extra pair of goggles or would like to switch to a better tire.

 

We welcome our friends at Thames Valley Riders and hope to see a number at the top of the podium in the various classes including those Pee Wee, Mini Junior and Mini Senior racers.

Race 10:00am to 12:00 pm 2 hour Race time

VET MASTER, INTERMEDIATE, PRO
Sign in 7:00am to 12:00pm
Race 12:30pm to 3:00pm 2.5 hour Race time

TRANSPONDER SCORING IN EFFECT
A Transponder must be purchased $40 ($20 gift certificate at Rocher Sales, Stratford and Apex Cycle, Waterloo to offset the cost) or can be rented ($40 deposit and $20 returned when unit is handed in)
